Socio-Cultural Integration of the Figurative Sphere and Commitment of Russian and Foreign University Students to Their Country
The purpose of this article was to study of correlation of severity of the commitment of the home country, socio-cultural integration of the sphere and adaptive personality traits of Russian and foreign University students. Tested the hypothesis about the existence of a relationship between the level of sociocultural integration sphere, the commitment to the country, and personality of actors involved in socio-psychological adaptation. In total, the study involved 147 patients (average age 20.5 years old) – students of Russian universities, of which 60 persons (21 men and 39 women) – citizens of the Russian Federation and 87 foreign students who are citizens of Kazakhstan (10 men, 18 women), Kyrgyzstan (10 men, 15 women), India (9 men, 9 women) and Arabic-speaking countries of the Middle East and North Africa (16 men). We used a structured psychological interview and questionnaire to determine the severity of the commitment of the home country, figurativelyassociative test that allows you to set the level of integration of socio-cultural sphere of the individual, as well as Frejburgskuû personal questionnaire. The interrelation of the commitment of the country of birth and socio-cultural integration of the sphere of personality of students. It is established that the higher the level of integration sphere with the culture of native countries of foreign students, the higher the level of integration sphere with the culture of the country of temporary exile. Discovered that the tolerance to functional depressive States is in direct relationship with commitment to his native country, and in the case of foreign students studying in Russia – and with the success of their integration sphere with the culture of the country of temporary exile. Social activity of students is higher, the higher their level of social and cultural integration of the sphere of the individual.
