В статье рассматривается система специальных профессиональных компетенций будущих учителей географии как результат интеграции культурологического и компетентностного подходов к их образованию. Для реализации интеграции данных подходов в образовательной практике рекомендуется технология контекстного обучения.

Interactive Training in Higher Education

The necessity of using interactive learning in the higher education system is determined. The content of the concepts “interactive learning”, “interactive forms and teaching methods” has been analyzed. The features of the use of interactive forms and teaching methods in the educational process of the university are described. The hypothesis of the research was the assumption that through the use of interactive learning a higher level of development of logical thinking is achieved.

Developing Soft Skills through Group Work within the Framework of Teaching English at University

The article presents the results of the theoretical analysis of the conditions of soft skills development connected with the overcoming of the contradictions of the traditional system of education, which involves individual character of learning and dominance of frontal teaching, which impede the development of communicative competences. Top requested soft skills contributing to the professional success of the university graduate are reported. Amongst the most needed social competences there are such skills as communication, collaboration and creative thinking.
