Psychological and Acmeological Factors of Individual Psychological Protection while Preparing for Motherhood

The research attempts to identify the main acmeological factors of personal psychological defence mechanisms affecting the aetiology of female infertility and the effective restoration and preservation of reproductive women’s health. The article investigates the theoretical results of Russian and foreign studies and analyses the initial data collected by the author serving as the basis for drawing further conclusions. The paper is focused on the study and description of the mechanisms of psychological protection of women suffering from infertility.

Peculiarities Manifestationsof of the Psychological Defence Mechanisms Used by the Students of Psychology Department at University Depending on Vitality

The article sets out the research data demonstrating the distinctive features of psychological defence used by the students of psychology departments with increased and decreased viability. Significant differences were found in the dominant psychological defence mechanisms of the students. It has been revealed that the students with increased viability are inclined to choose «denial» and «rationalization» as psychological defence mechanisms while the students with reduced viability choose «projection» and «regression».

Individual and Psychological Features of Tendency to the Stress of Men and Women

In this article stated the results of the empirical research devoted to studying of interrelation between tendency to a stress and individual and psychological features of the personality. The empirical base of research made 60 people, of them 30 men and 30 women aged from 25 till 35 years. Individual and psychological features were studied by means of R. B. Kettell’s questionnaire, tendency to a stess was investigated with use of the adapted J. Dzhenkinson’s technique.

Socio-political Peculiarities and Quality of Life Evaluation Among Ethnic

The paper presents the results of a theoretical and an empirical study of socio-political attitudes. The study was conducted on a sample of representatives of the Russian and the Kazakh ethnic groups (Saratov oblast, N = 60). Applying a complex of psychological and pedagogical methods, such as a questionnaire developed by the author of the study and the Level of Social Frustratedness instrument (L. I. Vasserman, B. V. Iovlev, M. A. Berebin), the study explores socio-political attitudes in different ethnic groups.

Personalyty Factors and Professional Effectiveness among Managers in a Commercial Organization

The article discusses the problem of the relation between professional effectiveness and personal traits (at the example of the «Big Five» factors). The results of the empirical study carried out in a commercial organization are presented. A total of 313 store managers of clothing and accessories shops took part in the research, including 82 male and 231 female. The age of the respondents was from 21 to 42 years. The work experience of the managers was no less than one year. The personality traits were measured by the «Five-Factor Questionnaire» adapted by M. Bodunov and S. Biryukov.

Time of Danger and Safety in Students’ Subjective Experience

The paper aims to identify the characteristics of how the time of danger and safety is represented in university students’ experience. This is achieved by using a technique developed by the authors on a sample of 130 students majoring in pedagogical sciences, aged 18–20 years. The study established that identifying the time of safety is based on the students’ subjective experience, while identifying the time of danger may draw on someone else’s emotionally strong experience.

Peculiarities Manifestations of the «Analyticity – Syntheticity» Cognitive Style in the Typology of Subjective Regulation

The paper aims at identifying characteristics of the manifestation of the «analyticity – syntheticity» cognitive style in the typology of subjective regulation. The study tested a hypothesis that people with the autonomous type of subjective regulation tend to have a synthetic cognitive style, while people with the dependent type of subjective regulation demonstrate an analytical cognitive style. The study sample included 100 employees of an insurance company, 25–50 years old, represented equally by males and females.

Socio-demographic Determiners of the Temporal Characteristics of a Career

The paper focuses on the correlations between socio-demographic characteristics of respondents and their professional career temporal characteristics (PCTC) which were established using the samples of representatives of different professions (the study included 1184 people aged 30–60).

Athlete’s Leading Motivations at the Ascending Stage of Professional Development

The paper presents the results of an empirical study of the motivational sphere of athletes’ personality. The leading motivations for doing sports identified in groups of athletes at pre-professional, professional and super-professional stages of professional development are general physical activity, comfort, social status, social utility, communication. The paper describes the significance of these motivations, analyses and summarizes the differences in how these motivations are expressed in different groups.

Factors and Possible Types of Psychological Well-Being of Personality
