The article presents some approaches to the theory of acmeology of education based on research carried out by B. G. Ananiev. The purpose of the study presented in the article is to give theoretical understanding of the phenomenon of education, relying not only on the achievements of pedagogy, but other sciences about a human, and, above all, psychology and acmeology. It has been shown that acmeology, as the science of creative potential self-realization on the way to the peaks of productivity, cannot bypass a problem of the development of human subjectivity.

Dedicated ambiguous aspects of the relationship between the individual (in situations of success, occupational referred to as «Acme») and the environment, relationships, avoiding discussion of sequential study in publications typical of acmeology. Considered important for understanding the phenomenon of «Acme» his «measurements» (temporary, ethical, methodological).

В статье раскрываются историко-философские, естественно-научные и психологические предпосылки становления акмеологии в России. Рассматриваются этапы развития акме человека, описываются универсальные принципы акмеологии. 

Понятия «чтение» и «читательская компетентность» рассмотрены в широком социокультурном аспекте. Читательская некомпетентность истолкована как фактор социального риска. Выделены пути решения проблемы интенсификации чтения и повышения функциональной грамотности в зарубежных странах и Российской Федерации.
