Socio-political and civil activity of young people: Between massification and individualization

The purpose of the study presented in the article is a theoretical analysis of socio-political and civic activity of young people in the context of processes of individualization and massification as contradictory but interdependent trends in the development of modern society. The relevance of the study is supported by the need for scientific understanding of conditions under which the formation of social and political subjectivity of young people and their choice of these types of activity take place.

Analysis of Relationship between Commitment to Civic Engagement and Socio-Psychological Characteristics of Students

The purpose of the study presented in the article is to identify the relationship between commitment to civic engagement and sociopsychological characteristics of the individual. The study was carried out on a sample of young students (N = 110) aged 17 to 29 years (M = 23, SD = 3.98), 29% of men and 71% of women. The relevance of the study is associated with insufficient information regarding forms of social activity of an individual taken in conjunction with characteristics of their respective activities and features of manifestation of this relationship in young people belonging to different age groups. Its goal is to identify the most typical areas of manifestation of young people’s social activity considering age development dynamics in relation to characteristics of the activities carried out within them.

The urgency of the study of social activity is conditioned by the need to study psychological mechanisms of formation, development and forms of its manifestation in young people under the changing conditions of the social environment. Moral Orientation and Subjective Well-Being of Young People from Different Ethnic Groups

The paper presents the results of a theoretical and empirical study of moral orientations and subjective well-being, conducted on a sample of young Russians and Armenians using the following psychodiagnostic tools: the scale of subjective well-being (M. V. Sokolova); the technique for measuring the level of social frustratedness (L. I. Vasserman); the technique for diagnosing moral orientations (I. S. Slavinskaya, A. D. Nasledov, M. Y. Dvoretskaya).

Conscience in the Perception of Student Youth

We present the data of empirical study of concepts of conscience, performed on samples of students, enrolled at Saratov State University, Saratov (N = 60, aged 21-22, feminine - 52% and masculine - 48%) using the method of free association with the subsequent ranking of semantic components of perceptions of conscience by the frequency of their actualization, use of prototypical data analysis by P. Verges and the method of content analysis.

Проанализированы теоретические подходы к пониманию процесса формирования представления о родительстве. Выявлены половые различия в представлениях о материнстве и отцовстве, а также в родительских установках и ожиданиях. Выборка исследования включала в себя 60 респондентов (30 юношей и 30 девушек в возрасте от 20 до 24 лет). Применялся комплекс методик – модифицированного варианта методики «Диагностика межличностных отношений» Т. Лири, адаптированный Л. H. Собчик, в модификации Р. В. Овчаровой, методики PARI E.
