Higher School Students’ Notion About Social Activity

The relevance of the study is determined by the identification of the specifics of students’ notion about social activity. The goal of the research is to study the structure of the notion of the social activity phenomenon among the young people on a student sample (N = 100, 65% are female, 58% are up to 25 years old). Presumably, the notion in the context under consideration has an unstable structure.

Moral Beliefs of an Individual as a Psychological Resource in the Period of Late Adulthood

The article views the interrelation between strategies of coping with stress, satisfaction with social support and the ideas of elderly people about conscience, which act as a reflection of the assertion of moral values in the respondent’s daily life. The study involved 55 elderly people, whose average age was 62.4 years, among them 40 women and 15 men.

Value-based Meaningful Factors of Social Activity of Youth under Different Conditions of Life Activities

The urgency of the study is related to the insufficient state of investigations of the value-related and meaningful conditioning of the forms of social activity of an individual. The aim of the research presented in this article is to study the regulative and ideological factors of different forms of social activity among students. The empirical study is carried out on a sample of students (N = 236), including high school students of general secondary schools (N = 118) and university students from Saratov and Saratov Oblast. We used a complex of psychodiagnostical tools to register various forms of social activity and degree of manifestation using a special questionnaire (by I. V. Arendachuk, E. E. Bocharova, A. I. Zagranichniy et al).

Socio-cognitive Types of Experiencing Reality and Commitment to One’s Country

It is proposed to distinguish nine socio-cognitive types of reality experiencing based on different types of combination of personal social well-being and the level of its socio-cultural integration of the imaginative sphere. The concept of level of sociocultural integration of the personal imaginative sphere, which was conceptualized and operationalized by the author in her precious works, shows how the system of significantly experienced secondary images of the world integrates a person with the socio-cultural environment of a large social community of the country.

The Phenomenon of “Resources”: Topos and Chronos in the Actualization of Environmental Conditions as Resources

The aim of the research is to study the relationship between the measure of social success of middle-aged people and the conditions of the social environment (spatial characteristics) and the temporal characteristics of their actualization (usage, creation, acquisition) as resources. Hypothesis: the conditions of the social environment, actualized as resources at different time stages of the social formation of the subject, have different significance for representatives of different social groups.

Dynamics of Development of Emotional Intelligence in University Students

The article presents the results of an empirical study of the level of emotional intelligence of students majoring in Psychology studying in different years (N = 100), performed with the use of the following psychodiagnostic tools: N. Hall’s Assessment of Emotional Intelligence questionnaire (adapted by E. P. Ilyin, I. V. Andreeva); a questionnaire aimed at studying the subjective notion of emotional intelligence, designed by the author to expand empirical data. The relevance of the study is due to the need to form a high level of emotional intelligence in future psychologists.
